WOW! What a year it has been. From countless doctors appointments to open heart surgery and heart failure, our little warrior has been through so much in a short time! 2019 - Here we come!

2018 has been the greatest and hardest year of my life. I learned you can feel 2 emotions at the same time — Happiness and sadness. Calm and chaos. Worry and content. Certainty and uncertainty. Medication

The is 24 hours worth of medication for Nolan. Before surgery there were only half of those syringes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Post surgery Nolan’s heart function is down and we started 2 new heart failure medications this past week in the hospital. One he takes 2 times a day and the other he takes 3 times a day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 10 syringes, 6 different medications, 10 times a day. Two Weeks Post Op

Two weeks. 14 days. I can’t believe you are already two whole weeks out of surgery. The lead up to surgery was so slow but time is flying post op. I love seeing how much energy you have and things that used to be hard for you are now easy. I love knowing that your heart rate and breathing rates are within a normal range and not equivalent to being on a treadmill 24/7.
