It was about damn time!

Today we had two appointments. One was a weight check at our pediatrician, and the other was a 2-week followup visit with the cardiologist.
I won't make you wait... we got good news from both!!!
Nolan was up 9oz in just five days. He weighed in at 8lb 9oz, and we almost cried. Even Dr. P and his nurses were excited to see this big of a weight gain in such a short time.
We made an appointment for a weight check for the following week. ONE WHOLE WEEK. This was the first time we were able to go longer than 3-4 days without being seen. Progress.
Next up, Cardiology.
When we got to the Dr. V's office we were still riding the high from Nolan's weight gain. We felt lighter walking into this appointment. We had hope.
Meeting with Dr. V was also filled with good news! He was impressed with Nolan's weight gain and was happy to report his lungs sounded clearer. The diuretic was working. Nolan's breaths were not as labored because the fluid was coming off his lungs and his heart was not having to work as hard.... he was doing amazingly well!
We were cleared to make an appointment for a month later instead of two weeks. ONE WHOLE MONTH. Just two weeks prior we were dreaming of the day to hear these words. Today it was a reality.
We got in the car and headed home feeling invincible. We got amazing news. Today we would be able to celebrate both wins.
We didn't have another appointment for a full seven days. We got to be "normal" for a week. Praise God.
